This expansion demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing the highest standards of precious metal recovery services with integrity, efficiency, and convenience for our international clients, bringing our proven model of customer-first and innovation to the region. Mastermelt’s new venture from the UAE will facilitate close collaboration with customers in the GCC and neighboring countries.

To this end, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Jan Korbijn, a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the European, Middle East, and Africa, precious metal refining industry, as the (Regional) Sales Director of our new venture, Mastermelt Middle East.

The event offered the perfect backdrop for some great conversations with customers and partners, all while indulging in a delightful lunch and a little flutter on the races. While none of the notable industry-themed runners; Invictus Gold, Palladium, or Titanium Emperor claimed a win, the excitement and camaraderie more than made up for it.

We kicked things off with a scenic cruise along the River Thames, taking in the iconic views of the city. The celebrations continued into the evening with a special dinner at the OXO Tower, with spectacular views over the Thames — the perfect setting to toast to our achievements and the incredible people behind them.

From a small operation to a global leader in precious metal recovery and sustainability, this anniversary is a tribute to the dedication of our team, the trust of our clients, and the partnerships that have helped shape who we are today.

At Mastermelt, we celebrate not just professional achievement—but also the passion, courage, and compassion of our people. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share the inspiring efforts of two of our dedicated team members, Tom and Pawel Grzybowski, who took on the London to Brighton Bike Ride on 15th June 2025—and completed the challenging course in fantastic time!

This wasn’t just a physical feat—it was pedal power for a powerful cause. Tom and Pawel rode in support of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a remarkable UK charity leading the fight against suicide and supporting those struggling with their mental health. Every mile they cycled helped raise awareness—and vital funds—for the mental wellbeing of people across the country.

CALM works tirelessly to stand against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, by offering life-saving services, promoting open conversations about mental health, and challenging stigma.

We’d like to offer a huge congratulations and an even bigger thank you to our cycling champions for representing Mastermelt with such heart, strength, and generosity.

Together, we go further—and thanks to Tom and Pawel, we’re helping create a more supported, mentally healthy future.

We are proud to announce that Gary Williams, General Manager at Mastermelt, has been officially appointed as the President of the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ)—a prestigious honour within the UK jewellery industry. The appointment was made during the Association’s Annual General Meeting held in Birmingham.

In a ceremony steeped in tradition, Gary was presented with the President’s Collar and Jewel by the outgoing President, Gary Wroe, Managing Director of Hockley Mint. This symbolic passing of the chain marks not just a continuation of leadership, but also a renewal of commitment to the values and future direction of the NAJ.

Gary’s appointment as the fourth President of the NAJ represents a significant milestone, both for him personally and for Mastermelt as an organisation.
